Google has pulled a newly introduced generative AI tool for Google Earth just 24 hours after its public release. The feature, which allowed users to generate synthetic objects and environmental edits over real satellite maps, was disabled following widespread warnings from researchers that it presented severe risks for geospatial misinformation.
